06.07.08: Panther Creek 4-Miler & 2½-Mile Hike

After the KTC decided not to renew this race for the 2008 season, mostly due to the driving distance, (lack of) attendance, and the fact that there were a number of trail races (BSF and the TTT series), the race was picked up by Friends of Panther Creek. It was a rousing success, with 131 runners who finished the race, far more than this race had last year. Since this was the first time Dennis Zazueta & Sheri Belling had ever directed a race, John Smyth was on hand to give help from his experience directing the Healthstar/Jackie Long 5k which will be held 6/28 at Rose Center. Everyone appeared to have a great time and I want to congratulate
Dennis & Sheri on the job they did as directors.
